line or not, imagine now, dedicated route line or not, buses, in place of an electric catenary system train (the LRT),buses, costing say $416THOUSAND each, 24 dedicated rapid transit buses, to cost in environs of,therefor, $10MILLION(Hawaii purchased kneeling wheelchair access normal sized buses at that price. Or,let's look at the LTD,Eugene,Oregon, 5 buses,cost of each bus was $463,561,kneeling and ramp,articulated,these large 60foot buses.24,
would go for $ 11,125,464.True,these are US prices, Canadian dollar is close, but even yet if you double the costs of purchase,the most that would be would be 23Million dollars,and utterly and completely still a totally ridiculous difference in costs compared with the proposed LRT system. Doesn't that make much more sense to you than constructing an entire train type trolley,rail line, and maintaining, said train and line and catenary system, versus the ease of use,versatility,utility,flexibility, and maintenance of, buses?
Is the LRT necessary?If it is necessary,it can be replaced ,by the vastly less expensive bus transit replacement.You decide what makes more sense,politicians obviously don't.
