Secret Squirrel Examines Australia's Sows Ear,Pig In Poke,Unsound,Unwise Acquisition Of American Aircraft.

Secret Squirrel has examined the acquisition of the American,Martin F-35 Lightning II aircraft and finds it remiss and useless in it's intended role and here encourages Australia, and Australians, to adjust their thinking of themselves in the world, and in the role of the defense of Australia from foreign attacks, and invasions and realize a proper defensive complement for Australia,Army, Navy,Air Force et all for the Australian Defense Forces.Let's ponder the new F-35 which we are increasingly seeing has utter and complete shortcomings in it's supposedly stated and intended role.Now, the F35 is not designed to perform air superiority roles,which would be necessary should Australia be attacked,and also in any war theatre, unlike the larger,and much more totally suitable and suited, Lockheed Martin Raptor F-22, and is not well adapted to performing the long range strike role,again which would occur should Australia be attacked,and again necessary in any war theatre.The F-35 Lightning II, catchy name for a worthless,valueless aircraft.Budget for them has now doubled over what was stated.I for one, expected this to happen, it always does when an American aviation builder is involved and development is concerned,it pads the bill,increases the profit,especially when nations foreign to America are involved. It obviously is much better to buy proven,provably dependable,all ready reliable,straight right off the shelf ready to go aircraft.An F-22 purchase would directly be stable and so is now utterly and completely, not only in terms of costs being stable and constantly unchanging, but the roles available for the aircraft to efficiently carry out are what is necessary for the defense of Australia.The F-22 is now at a greater value(in terms of monetary purchase.Face it, at this point the F-35 is a useless junk heap,unfit for the roles it is supposed to be for,unfit to trust the lives of ,and the defense of,Australians to. Development of the F-35,and its ability to do a role, continues to get ever worse, and in no ways better.The F-35 is ridiculously useless,insufficient,inefficient,incapable of fulfilling requirements, at a cost of................an aircraft only suitable for the ridiculous South and Central Americans, Africans, and Canadians.It is utterly unfit for the defense of Australian humanity,and unquestionably isn't intended to do so.Purely it is a monemaker only,for America,for the American manufacturer and developer.It is an utterly overly expensive aircraft suitable for appearances only. Australia should seriously consider other options, the Europeans for example, who manage to develop far better and much more useful aircraft at far less than understated costs.Consider also the Russian alternative.Australia,after all, is a friend to all.............there is nothing wrong with the purchase and use of Russian aircraft.After all, Australia, IS a peaceful land, a non warlike land, a non expansionist land, a nation only intent of effectively,efficiently defending itself. Australia in the present day, IS a friend to all, peaceful,unintimidating. the NATO nations et all have attacked, invaded, occupied, and subdued,other nations,acquiring vast oil fields in the guise of whatever excuse they claimed for doing just that. The Soviets have problems round and about with their neighbours. The Chinese have problems in their spheres due to American policies and attitudes,militarily. Australia,need have no fear from the Chinese, nor fear from the Soviets.Does it needs be that Australia must fear NATO, or America in such directions? Well, on analysis,correct me if wrong, Australia is a most peaceful land intent on defending only itself from any invasion,incursion, etc that may or may not occur being directed at it.Therefor a mixed availability of aircraft capable of defending Australia is sound. Regard,for example, India, and Pakistan(which seems to suffer from the problems with the Americans assisting it presently),they both have mixed defense system, the so called Western, and Eastern, as in American, and Soviet and Chinese equipments. Well, it seems this is the route to go, to get the most bang for the buck, the most value for the money, and acquire the equipments necessary for the Australian role of defending itself from other friendly nations which should not be attacking it in the first place. So all things being considered, let's consider Soviet aircraft purchases, the present Sukhoi, SU-30MK.Well they say, in terms of proper wisdom.....Eagles may fly, but weasels aren't sucked into jet engines.The Sukhoi can so totally carry required intercept missiles, and also yet, perform magnificently well, the required role formerly filled by, but now a vacuum void,the dear departed F-111,in short, it fills the bill in it's entirity, is proven effective, fulfills the role, and is sound,secure,reliable,functioning.Various other countries in the Asian region ARE getting the SU-30MK.There is also the Chinese J-20 (said to be a Lockheed Nighthawk F117),which is also so totally role suitable for Australia,and could be acquired much more economically as negotiated than the ever increasing in cost(hardly surprising when dealing with Americans is it really now).The American F22 is said to match the SU-30MK, but face it, the F-35 most certainly,utterly and completely,does not.The Americans are far less likely to present it, at economical true value cost(versus their usual profiteering standpoint),and so as Australia's neighbours which have stable,sound,friendly relation with China,Russia, and Australia, easily acquire, inexpensively, at true value costs, the SU-30MK.Australia should see what it truly is within the world, within it's Asian sphere station and place. Australia should turn its attentions to it's status in the world, it's requirements for defense,as do it's neighbours,and like and in kind, and so too should soundly and properly fill out those requirements.Australia should reach out, and expand its defense capabilities, it should reach out to its friends, and so see to the defense of Australia.For far less cost, ones sees Australia's friends filling their defense requirements with vastly superior levels, for sharply reduced costs.Americans are charlatans,hucksters,profiteers, the traveling medicine show of military aviation sales to nations outside of itself.Australia must realize this at this point, adjust it's thinking, and so properly arm the nation for the defense of itself.

Secret Squirrel, in light of recent events in Tucson,Arizona, has pondered such things as the Insanity Defense.....the act of committing murder and then claiming to be........insane....or crazy,or should that perhaps be,crazy, like a fox?Stating they are,or being adjugded to be,insane,gets them off,and eventually,many times they get out,released from,a ,and any particular, mental institution........supposedly cured,cured by words,cured by so much smoke, much as a ham is,perhaps.........or not,and much more than likely not.What cure is there for insanity?A cure implies a disease, but talk,discussion, is not a cure for any disease.How does one cure insanity?Is there a cure for insanity?Ponder? Once released, outed,they are free to do it all again. In Canada,the famous bus attack beheading,Vince Weiguang Li,he's been judged insane,the psychiatrist said that Li performed the attack because God's voice told him McLean(his victim) was a force of evil and was about to execute him. The presiding judge accepted the diagnosis, and ruled that Li was not criminally responsible for the murder,so at present date there's even yet talk of releasing him, and what is anybody to do, but,upon his release,wait for him to receive his next message from God?

To excute ,when convicted, as being dangerous, if not insane,they are effectively removed from society,society is being protected,but if released, is there a cure for insanity, is there a change in those not insane,but released then they are still dangerous and can act again, so is it not better to execute them for the good of society.If insane,are they not then also dangerous,and can act again,so execution is directly for the good of society. Sickles was acquitted.Acquitted, acquitted for being insane at the time,even yet if it had all been planned,as it was, the duration of the time of insanity was irrelevant.Interesting.
Unabomber Ted Kaczynski's lawyers were court appointed, but he eventually dismissed them because they wanted to plead insanity in order to avoid the death penalty, and Kaczynski did not believe he was insane,but one sees the insane plea,as an escape, an avoidance of the death penalty,a ploy, not a cure, not a correction,not a punishment,for how does one cure insanity,not being a disease as such, there is no anti-biotic.Do you believe insanity is curable with..............words.............reason.........logic?There is no cure for insanity, and it is not a disease, and it is certainly not an excuse,nor should it be accepted as such, for murders. But it is.

Although attempts have been made to prove that most American Presidential,and other political assassinations and attempts ,were politically motivated actions, carried out by rational men, not all such assassinations and attempts have been undertaken for truly political reasons.Some have been perpetrated by people of questionable mental stability, and a few were judged legally insane.Andrew Jackson's attempted assassin,Richard Lawrence, was judged insane.Theodore Roosevelt's, John F. Shrank, also.But is insanity an excuse? They have successfully commited murder,directed at those who are their focus, just as others who commit murder have a focus at any particular time.Those NOT judged insane, are frequently executed for their crimes, so they cannot further offend. Those who are judged as being insane, are,in fact, frequently released.In short it is better to be, and to be judged, insane,it is an out.But should it continue to be so? No, let the crime be the dictate of the punishment, be it whatever it is to be determined to be faced, such as for murder,particularly multiples, life or death sentence irrespective.If life, if insane, life in a mental institution, if death, if insane, then death it is also.An eye for an eye, let the punishment fit the crime,those who have committed murder, are of another kind,and society at large must be protected from them.They have to be entirely removed from society, so as to keep it safe, or else put to death, and so society is once again protected,but that sparing society the great expense of incarceration.Should insanity be an allowable defense and escape from justice? No.But it is.

Secret Squirrel On The Problem Of The Euro And What It Really Isn't.

Secret Squirrel turns his attention to the present problem of Europe,the Euro, and seemingly collapsing economies of individual Europe nation states,which,in fact, threaten to destroy the Euro itself.Well, why is the Euro in trouble and what was the Euro supposed to be?

The Euro was seen to be a common currency for all Europe, similar in nature to the American dollar with respect to the American States,and so the Euro was to be to Europe and the Unified European states,an equality,and equity,a common, and the common,currency.It works in theory,it works, in concept. It is an idea that should work. What you do, is maintain a two tier system, a system whereby the individual states keep their own currency and economy,and system of economics, and simply tie their currency, each individually and collectively, but separately to a common currency, the Euro. What needed to be done, was simply to keep their own state currency, and have items purchasable in state currency, but also have a suitable value for the Euro against the state currency,maintaining as it were, and individual currency pegged to and against the common currency, the Euro.So in Greece, you could purchase in either the Euro value, or the Greek currency,all things then being equal, in terms of purchasable power value.It could also be applied in inter-state trade etc, as is done in America. However, they systems not being equal, it commenced to, it has commenced to, unravel, and things will get worse, not better.But why?Because the Euro is tied to the individual state currencies, and not the state currencies to and against the Euro as it was supposed to be. Let's examine what has exposed the problem,the reality of things,and determine the actual reasons why the Euro is failing,for there are more reasons than just one reason.

What with Portugal,Italy,Iceland,Greece,Spain(The PIIGS of Euro-pe),and the threat to their EURO, there is evidence that Europe is itself failing, economically,and financially.They begin to see that with respect to a common currency,they were all better off with their own,individual,state,free market,with their own currencies evidently and in reality, just maintaining an EEC,a European Economic Community,a
Unified Defense Force,and a Unified Political Policy Parliament,but not with a unified currency.The Euro itself sees, fro it's point of view, that it is in itself better off if there are no other currencies tied to it, that is, were it by itself, the only currency.But it is not the sole currency, and therein lies part of the problem.Europe is a financial failure then?Nay, a complete and utter disaster. The Euro and Europe was an attempt, a unified attempt,to counter, the USA,with its Unified States, and a strong central common currency.However,Europe did work as a
Unification of States, but failed as a currency.Why? Well, their own currencies, and ultimate currency(the Euro), are, in fact, based on, and measured against, a common currency, yes, but it is the US dollar and the system of the Treasury Certificate that the Americans use, their economic and financial system, their system of printing Treasury Certificates.What's happened in Europe that it must bow to this system of the Americans,why and how?Well,the present claim is that the PIIG states of Europe, overprinted,overspent, disregarded debts etc etc etc et all.Well, yes they did, and so to do and will the rest, and they will fail.Why? Again, they are up against their own creation, their own accepted creation, the USA and its currency. You see, all things European are measured against the US dollar. Should the US dollar have been similarly tied to the Euro, the United States and it's currency would have been in trouble.Why? Well, the American system is simply to, whenever it requires money, to print up Treasury Certificates, of any value it needs, and then it goes to the Treasury Department, which accepts the Treasury Certificate, at the value of the Certificate, files it away, and prints up the stated currency of the certificate.So, the United States has the money it needs, and a massive debt, to it's own Treasury Department, and an ever increasing, limitless value debt, on ever printed up currency. BUT for Europe it's different, the Euro-peans are controlled by the US dollar, not their own, and don't have a similar system of simply printing up certificates to add more currency as they need, to their system.The European Prometheus,has been self tied, and bound,for and
by, playing with fire, for playing economics and finance against and with the Americans and their system, of economics and debt,bound to and by, the currency and system of the Americans, which they,the Europeans, cannot themselves emulate.Europe has and is failing due to it's belief in a dream system, a system which economically works. The Americans are themselves not tied and bound in that belief, they are tied and bound only by the life of their Treasury Certificate printing press,or whatever company prints them up for the American government, and by the seemingly limitless supply of printer's ink.The Euro cannot compete with such a system,it cannot exist against such a system, unless,it emulates such a system.........complete and utter conversion.Quite simply all states of Europe must give up all hope against such a system, give up their currency, all Europe goes to the Euro, and all states go to the economics of the US system,at the state level as well.It must be complete and utter emulation,a complete mirror image in all things. What we have presently with the Euro is an attempt to emulate the US system without
actually using the US system, and it just won't work any other way.Unless that is done, the Euro is doomed to failure.
